Dustin is a life-long resident of the State of Alabama, born in Boaz and raised in the town of Geraldine. After graduating from Geraldine High School, Dustin attended the University of Alabama, graduating with honors and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science. While a student at the University of Alabama, Dustin was selected and served in Washington, D.C. as an Intern to United States Congressman Robert Aderholt.
Dustin attended law school at and graduated with honors from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham. At Cumberland, Dustin was elected as the Chief Justice of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board, was awarded the Hand Arendall Award for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy, and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Dustin also represented Cumberland as a member of the Red Jones National Moot Court Team at the American Bar Association’s Appellate Advocacy Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Prior to founding Beckum Kittle, Dustin worked with a civil defense litigation firm in Birmingham focusing his practice on employment law, environmental law, consumer law, construction law, and professional liability. Dustin takes pride in representing a distinguished and diverse group of clients, including Sheriff’s Departments, County Commissioners, Personnel Boards, regional housing providers, architects, engineers, international manufacturing businesses, residential home inspectors, real estate appraisers, and insurance agents.
In representing your interests, Dustin will balance the litigation experience attained working in a thirty plus attorney defense firm with the values and work ethic learned growing up on a farm in a small Alabama town. Dustin currently resides in Trussville with his wife, Michelle, and his one year old daughter, Abigail Kait.
Dustin is licensed to practice before all of Alabama’s State and Federal courts.
